Welcome to
Château de Pazayac
Situated between the big city of Brive-la-Gaillarde and the medieval village of Terrasson-Lavilledieu lies Pazayac. It's a small village that most people only see when they use the route national that crosses through it. They would see one of those typically charming French villages if they took a turn and passed through the village instead.
In the heart of it, they would find an old church and beautifully renovated reminders of the past, like a wash basin and a weighing station for livestock.
Centuries-old houses surround the center, and driving through it all they would see the hill behind Pazayac, silhouettes of cows on the top.
And just when they thought they had seen it all, they would take a turn and get a surprise, there's a château in Pazayac!
Founded in 1542, the château de Pazayac sits on the base of the hill, effectively looking out over the entire Vézère-valley, all the way to Perpezac-le-Blanc and Brive. Throughout the centuries the families that lived here have added to both the château, the beautiful park and the outbuildings.
It's a sight to be seen, the unique (and very large) trees of the park adding to the beauty of the château itself.
